Just picked up the rental car from Budget (only $86 to the airport!), starting to pack, got the boarding passes printed out...
I am looking forward to hiking in Iceland and soaking in the hot springs. Gail is hoping to see the Princess in London, and shopping in Paris. There is a full moon within two days of the Summer Solstice, and we should be near to Avebury Circle and Stonehenge. Maybe we can join the NeoPagan Druids and dance naked in the full moon! Or something.
Between the Scotch, Irish Whiskey, French wine and English beer pubs, we should be plenty hydrated.
I can't wait to hike in the Swiss Alps near Interlaken, to see the Eiger for the first time.
Yup. 18 hours.
The intimate cafes, flowers spilling from every balcony and corner, cathedral bells ringing across the squares with their crowds and ornate buildings; the romantic way the light plays across the scene, turning any ordinary meal into an al fresco, amorous affair.
