But it is down to the quarter-finals now, so we have to plan ahead a little.
France plays 3 July. We’ll be in Andorra, so I better reserve a table at a cafe. They play Iceland (Everyone here was ecstatic, simply besides themselves, when Iceland beat England 2-1.) so chances are good they will win, and play (probably) Germany in the semi-finals.
That means we need a reservation for 7 July in Albi.
Win or lose, the final is on 10 July. We won’t need a reservation that night. You see, we are staying in Rougon, population of (maybe) 114, on the border of Provence and the Alps. We are staying in the one and only Bar/Restaurant/Hotel in the area. We not only have a room, but dinner and breakfast is included. Which means we automatically have a table!
Meantime, the first round of quarter finals start tomorrow (Thursday the 30th June). And we have a TV in our room, and a bar just down two doors!
