But we had to head home to see our friends, our kids, and start saving for the next trip.
Morten and Minea took us to the bus station to catch the Blue Bus (called the Red Bus because of the red ticket) which was half the price of the train to Copenhagen. At the airport we ran into a long line at security; all across the EU similar problems are happening today as they tighten the security.
It was a fast flight home, in fact we arrived a half hour early, but then had to sit on the plane over an hour as the security measures in the US just changed as well, and there was no room to pack us in. The end result was we got on the road heading home two hours later than scheduled.
Ugh.
I am so damn tired of everybody being so afraid.
If there is one thing I learn again and again, year after year, it is this: there is a whole big world out there, full of great people, and we have no reason to live our lives in fear.
